Privacy Policy

Summary

QUESTPAUSE tools and pages are free browser-based utilities. The tools run entirely in your browser. QUESTPAUSE currently does not require accounts, does not process payments through this site, and does not intentionally collect personal account data.

The single exception is the QUESTPAUSE Server Founding Pilot application form, which asks you for a way to contact you. That data is used only to run the Founding Pilot, as described below.

What data do we collect?

The tools themselves do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate site usage: page views, landing pages, referrers, coarse geography, and device or browser type. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to collect only aggregated, anonymous statistics, and it is not tied to or associated with any individual by QUESTPAUSE. Page view URLs are recorded as page paths only, without query strings or campaign parameters. We do not intentionally transmit the contents of what you type into tools, generated outputs, or copied text through analytics.

QUESTPAUSE Server Founding Pilot applications: if you choose to apply on the /server page, we store the contact detail you give us (an email address or a Discord username), your server type, the Project Zomboid build you run, how many servers you operate, a short free-text description of your biggest server-management problem, how often mod updates or version mismatches create work for you, the monthly price per server you would consider reasonable, and whether you would consider joining a paid pilot. The paid-pilot answer is optional. We use these answers only to evaluate the Founding Pilot and to reply to you about it.

Applications are stored in a private Neon PostgreSQL database that is used for this purpose only. We do not ask for, and you should not provide, passwords, RCON details, Steam credentials, or hosting logins. Application answers are never sent to Vercel Web Analytics, and no application data is ever placed in a page URL. You can ask us to delete your application at any time using the contact address below.

Cookies and Advertising

This website does not currently set any cookies. Vercel Web Analytics, as configured on this site, does not use QUESTPAUSE cookies for measurement. We do not run advertising and do not use analytics data for advertising profiling.

If advertising is ever added in the future, third-party advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and this policy will be updated first.

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Site usage measurement is provided by Vercel (Vercel Inc.) as our analytics processor; Vercel's own handling of analytics data is described in Vercel's privacy documentation at vercel.com/legal/privacy.

Founding Pilot applications are stored by Neon (a Databricks company) as our database processor. They are not shared with, sold to, or used by any advertising or analytics provider.

Any future analytics or advertising services will be subject to their own privacy policies and will be reflected here first.

User Responsibilities

Users should not submit sensitive personal data into free text fields within the tools. Generated output stays in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
