Project Zomboid Mod List Formatter

Format WorkshopItems, Mods, and Map lines for Project Zomboid servertest.ini files.

One ID per line, or separated by semicolons. A leadingWorkshopItems=is stripped automatically.

The mod folder names, not workshop IDs, e.g.tsarslib.

Paste your mod list on the left, and formattedWorkshopItems / Mods / Maplines appear here.

How to use it

  • Collect the Steam Workshop IDs and mod folder names for the mods you want to run.
  • Paste them into the matching fields: newlines, semicolons, or an existing ini line all work.
  • Copy the generated block into your servertest.ini and restart the server.
  • Heed the warnings: WorkshopItems wants numeric IDs, Mods wants folder names.

FAQ

What is the difference between WorkshopItems and Mods?

WorkshopItems holds the numeric Steam Workshop IDs of each mod. Mods holds the mod's folder ID inside the workshop download, usually the mod's internal name. A mod needs an entry in both lines to load.

My server fails to start after adding mods. What now?

Most failures are a mismatch between the two lists: a workshop ID without a Mods entry or vice versa. Format both lists here, verify counts match, and check the server log for the first mod it fails to resolve.

Does this tool upload or store my mod list?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
